Key Design Decisions

Non-Destructive by Default

All operations are reversible within 30 days. Archive before delete. Auto-fix only touches safe operations (orphan cleanup, field backfill). Duplicates always require manual review.

Full Audit Trail

Every maintenance operation is logged with user, timestamp, affected records, and reason. Logs are immutable and exportable for compliance. Auto-scheduled scans run every Sunday 2 AM.

2FA for Destructive Actions

Permanent deletions and purges require admin 2FA verification. Bulk operations show preview counts before execution. Archive auto-purge is set to 1 year with admin-configurable retention.
